Using the same screens at the Yellow Mantis, The Blue Mantis was created as a darker, gentler version, more for the mind than body. A very fine print, with thousands of shades, it has a captivating quality that can never be fully seen. The structure of the repeat creates a trust that the viewer won’t get lost, and gives the design a gravity. Like other pieces its was created to both anchor, and set free, the conditions needed for a kite, and for human growth.
